The Reckoning's grwing on me. I'll take Owens over Barlow's bitch-ass screeching any day. The chorus sucks, though...

I would give it an 8...Tim's vocals totally own,but there's some stupid stuff there too like the scream in Red Baron. :)
The music is mostly great, especially the trilogy is a masterpiece (if it only didn't have the marching drum stuff,Christy could just pull a drum solo there...too bad they didn't have machine guns back in the day). The orchestra rules. As for single songs,The Reckoning,Waterloo and the Gettysburg 1863 trilogy must be the best ones so far.
Can't really say much about the bass or the new guitarist...as I said before elsewhere he's probably an even worse fill-in than Tarnowski and Shavwer (who at least contributed to the music a lot),but it doesn't matter when Jon makes most of the music. It's just up to Jon to make GOOD music.
Can't say much about the lyrics, but I'm guessing they won't be very awesome as Jon's storytelling skills have gone downhill since The Dark Saga. Hope he gets some good lyrics out once we move into fiction again with the Something Wicked story. But these could be good too I guess, the trilogy at least.

the bass playing is average, but the bass sound they got, especially on Devil To Pay and Hold at all Costs, is fucking awesome.

oh yeah, When's Barlow coming back?

I would give it a 7...and I definitely think Horror Show's better.
