A Sound of Thunder made it to CNN

Yes. I am trying to sell something. Because I'M IN A BAND and it's part of the triad of important things to me:

1. Husband
2. Band
3. Health

Do you not know how being a musician works?

Why wouldn't you share the biggest part of your life with your friends?

None of your argument makes any sense. You're angry because I mentioned my band in an article about my life? Bwaaaa?

No...the point again that you are not seeing is that the article has nothing to do that you were a singer originally. I was about a supposive mean Ex who said something to you to make you want to lose weight. The band thing wasn't even needed in the article.

I don't bring up what I listen to because I am content with who I am and don't need to push something on people to make me stand out. Nothing is worse than that friend who has to bring up stuff about themselves because they are shallow and that is all they have in life to talk about. I am sure this is all exciting to you because you are new to it. I don't need music to make people be friends with me. They like me for being me and not because I am in a band or anything. It seems you have more deeper issues at hand here.

That's because you're not in a band and you're not trying to sell anything. Which is fine. But I am in a band, and half the reason I kept the weight off is because of the band. Leaving that out would be a bad move, and dishonest.

You've gotten nothing but honesty from me regarding this whole thing, but you seem to want to believe I'm trying to use my looks to get ahead or something. Dude, it's metal. Getting ahead doesn't mean much. If I wanted to "get ahead" I would have gone into R&B and used my giant ass for evil instead of good.

I'm the Queen of something, alright!

What superficial reasons would I have to get into heavy metal? Do you think people handed me everything for being cute or something? I'm not even that damn cute!

I think you don't understand that it's possible to love metal and also advertise yourself. I don't love metal any less than you, you know. I've dedicated my life to it and you don't seem to like that for some reason.

You have dedicated a few years since Dragonforce got on Guitar Hero. It is great you then looked for more stuff and now make it a big part of your life. We have all done that.

I say that you are superficial because it seems you found a group of people who will give you the attention you so badly need it seems you were not getting from other groups.

Like I said...I have seen many people come and go through the years. Each saying exactly what you have said and done. In the end it has to be what makes you happy. It seems you are happy but you need to grow and up stop getting upset when things do not go your way.

And to answer about advertising yourself....

it gets old. it is a turn off to a lot of people. Maybe you don't see it yet but I have friends who do this too and it turns many off.

see you are wrong. I do have stuff to promote and push. But I don't because there are times and places to do so and I respect this forum enough to not push my stuff here.

You think I'm taking advantage of the metal community to suit my ego?

Wow, dude. You have some major issues. I can't even begin to understand how you came to that conclusion.

And you know what, that fact that it matters more to you HOW I got into metal than how much hard work I've put into my band is sad. It doesn't matter how much I do. That I discovered metal through Dragonforce is such a sin you can't get over it. You know what? It doesn't make me any less than a metal head than you. If you can't understand that, there's not much else I can tell you but to get off your high horse.

see again you are missing the point. All the hard work is flushed down the toilet when you do your attention needing postings. People on facebook have made cracks on other threads there that they see your facebook post and seem that all you do is want attention. It seems you are using music / band to just get attention that you never got from past hobbies.

I don't care how you got into metal. It is funny when you make bold statements about how it is your life and make it seems you were born wearing a patch vest and bullet belt. Just be who you are and stop trying to be more than that and you won't be getting cracked on. This is why I bring up the whole sex appeal to sell stuff. There are tons of other girls in bands who are not doing the stunts you are doing to sell the music and are being much more respected for it. It is all ego for you. I am sure once this horse dies down for you and the next hip things comes through you will jump on that ship and it will become you "life". Like I said...I have seen many like you come and go.

You should hope that more people like me get into metal, for however long. If you keep pushing new people away the metal scene will never grow. It's people like you that make us look bad.

Like I said...I love that more people are getting into metal. I offer nothing but suggestions for new people getting into the music and help many new bands out. I see many heavy metal tourist who dress and act the part but then tire out and move on sadly and it isn't because of people like me...it is mostly because they didn't get what they thought they were going to get out of it.

Oy... yikes... Not sure what happened here. Did anyone read the article? It was poorly written and open to interpretation. The headline was horrid. I have a problem with the "journalist" who wrote it. It's disjointed. There are two mentions of the boyfriend - 1) he said something about weight and offered what seemed a helpful diet suggestion and 2) he got dumped. No wonder the bozos pounced. The article provided insufficient information. As far as the band - it's Nina's job. As she said in an earlier post, if she'd mentioned kids, nobody would have complained. Talking about the band as part of life after weight loss is valid.

With all these comments this proves with what I was saying. Look at the attention...and not good attention you bring your band on social media / public forums? After reading these comments a person is not going to even want to check out your band. This is why I always say there is a time and a place to promote yourself. Sure it is hard to hold back. Believe me...I know. But you don't want to be that person who has to bring it up every second in every conversation about something. By doing that it can do more damage than good.
