India, a country with around 900,000,000 people, is for the most part ignorant to where babies come from. Can you imagine, most of them have no idea when they are having a jolly old time with one another that it results in offspring. Man, I thought everyone knew that. Some things just shock me when I hear them for the first time.

Most Indians are also below the poverty line, are illiterate, and make less money in a year than you probably do in a week. And yet all their government is concernec about is being ahead of Pakistan in the arms race.
I guess in most cases it is far better to be a poor american than a typical third world country resident.

i visit india almost every year and yes there is a huge amount of poverty, but some people there are pretty damn wealty too...like all my relatives. Hell, the prime minister went to my cousins wedding! The distribution of wealth is very very wide.
And let's all remember, there are alot of countries worse off than India i.e bangladesh, as well as the poorer parts of china and russia.
What is good about india is that there aren't as many extremist groups and that the indian people aren't as hateful and spiteful as people from countries like pakistan that can be get pretty violent.

that is not true at all. In fact most people in third world countries are happier than people in richer countries because they aren't caught up with material possesions etc.

Ok, the problem I have is that this would imply that even after hundreds of generations, or however many you consider depending on your beliefs, they never figured out that banging=babies. I find that VERY hard to believe.

It's strange that someone would tell you something like this and you'd accept it as fact and go post it on a message board, thinking that you were informing the masses. Common sense should dictate that perhaps a few of them don't know where babies come from, but certainly not most. Believing everything you're told so easily is dangerous.
I am not perfect, and I screw things up all the time. However, some of you definately come across as intellectual elitists who assume you are always right. There is a ton of stuff we can't know, and some of you go around saying stuff beyond our realm of knowledge as if it were obvious truth.
