Aaaargh my fingers - I got an E-Contrabass!!

Hey dudes

Any Bass freaks here, who may give me some tipps for slapping my contrabass? It was a dream since years, to play with something like that. As I saw the Johnny Cash bio "walk the line" I deceided to buy one some time. Saturday it became reality. This slapping shit sounds so fuckin´great! But I also know, that it willbe a long way to play this technique.




Any sneapster here, who have some experience or interests concerning contrabass? Maybe some hilbilly cowboy..haha

I practice Contrabass since yesterday and I can say...my fingers are blue, red and it hurts like hell!! I can´t wait to record some stuff and show it here. I love my instrument..it was not expensive, but I love it.

This sounds absolutely cool & relaxing! Like it a lot. Very, very pleasent contrabass sound.

ot: I also play some Jazz on the guitar & I recorded some Joe Pass like chord melody stuff..(own interpretation/ improvisation) I will upload it within the next days. Maybe you like it!

I got some cheap 400 Euro harley benton E-contrabass, but it´s okay, because it´s pretty new for me. I wanna play very hard and aggressive (massive slapping) so better not an expensive first It looks well-processed and the string location seems very good. It makes fun like hell to play this. And my technique grows on and on

Just wandering, is that thing totally non acustic? I mean, can you play it unplugged and get some tone out of it?

You can hear it unplugged, but it´s made to plug it in. I play it through my Marshall/mesa recti combo..with a little bit crunch
