Okay, here's the english translation from Dutch Metal Magazine Aardschok's review of 'Splintered Skies'

Meyvn - Splintered Skies
Killzone Records

Two weeks ago I was hanging around the Prog-power forum at Ultimate
Metal. It was there that some guy [actually it was Pyramaze51]
recommended this band called Meyvn to me. Because I never heard of
them I looked up their Myspace and was very impressed with what I
heard. So I immediately ordered their album. And I never regretted it.
The debut album of this band from Texas sounds fantastic. The vocals
are very powerful and melodic en the rhythm section thunders through
this album at full force. But especially the mighty guitar playing is
a beauty to behold. I have never heard someone play with this much
variation to emphasize the different moment in their songs. The
compositions tend to the prog side of the metal spectrum but are never
needlessly complicated. It is however especially guitarist Drew that
is stealing the show. [I did not know who of the two is doing the
leads. It might be both Drew or Jon Simpson]. He really is a diverse
player! Remember that name because it's a real talent. That the songs
are not chaotic but retain their melody is telling about the writing
skills of this band. This is American quality metal of the highest
level possible! A great album that I will keep on playing. This is
pure class!

Thanks for placing this Stuart! I am glad you and the band are happy with it. The band deserves this!

I am very happy to see a Meyvn forum on UM.
You can be sure I am going to be a regular here.
