Abbey Road Plug-ins?

I demo'd the limiters and was not impressed. They seem to go from 0 to serious pumping very quickly. Controls are very unorthodox and the gain reduction meter is difficult to read.

Not to hijack, but one plug for "vintage mojo" that I've been using lately is Nebula2 Commercial. The new Brent Averill EQ and Preamp programs are seriously tasty. The reverbs are great as well. There is a console emulation package that just came out today that I am looking forward to trying.

Best 20 Euros I've ever spent for software.

I have the limiter/comp and I like it quite a lot. It definaltely works the best on single instrument tracks. Especially vocals, bass, room mics, overheads. Sometimes it works really well on kick & snare too. I've never liked it in the master bus or drum bus. It starts to pump too quickly. It could also work quite well as a parallel drum comp.

No, its not Brent Averill making the software. It's a "Volterra Kernal" sampling of the hardware.

Nebula uses a sophisticated form of dynamic convolution. Think Focusrite Liquid Mix, but on a whole 'nother level.

The drawback is the plugin is huge and very CPU intensive. My Nebula library is around 15 gigs and growing.
