About sample threads

Ahhh its you that uploaded those samples Bob!

I have some questions then :D

Im using the faderhead TAMA kick all the time....the Brain kicks are good but the multi samples dont seem to change and finally that picallo is awesome, can you give me any info on these? Its interesting since I love them all. Shame that piccalo is only 1 sample though :( :) Ta

Well I was just curious about anything really! I mean I love the samples, esp that kick, its the one I use the most. Has it already been tweaked or is it totally how you recorded it?

Brain kicks, I just wanted to know what they were, are they used by an artist at all? Funny name :) Im just really looking for more multi samples, things still get a bit machine like even with Sneaps samples!

Great samples though :D Hope you do more in the near future :rock:

Hey dude...

Well, the faderhead samples are indeed made by the living legend "smy1"... he should know all about those.. all i know about those samples is that i really like em! :rock:

The brain kick is the famous pantera kick... some reverb added though, and some EQ.. they fit my stuff pretty well, and they were made by a dude called brian.. who i always call brain for some weird reason.. :p

The piccolo snare is from a DM4 machine i believe.

Hey dude,

I tweaked it a good amount. Don't ask me how. I never write down any notes on anything because it will be near impossible to recreate it exactly anyway. I purposely left in some room sound because I wanted it to be useable for different situations and it's obviously easier to kill the tail than to create it.

Glad you like the kicks. I actually prefer the tom samples from that session.
 
I believe that a sub forum would be better than just a folder on Gavin´s FTP, because each set of samples would have it´s own thread with opinions, questions, etc (like this one seens to have become LOL).
 
Thanks for the info guys! Yeah the Faderhead kick has got a lot of beef/room amb to it which i usually dip abit but its really punchy :D Kinda reminds me of the Black album kick. Those Brain kicks are Pantera kicks?? I never would have thought! Which album?
