adopting a dog vs buying from a breeder.

My score was 85%
I only missed one.

I own a puggle and I did buy him from a seller instead of a shelter. I honestly don't care where people buy their animals as long as they take care of them properly. Yeah, it is a problem but people are going to be people and buy from pet stores or breeders anyways. You won't ever stop that. I work at a shelter a couple of times a month and have fostered dogs and even adopted a pure bred pug that was abused terribly. I know a lot people are ultra militant about buying these types of dogs but again I say if they take care of them and provide a "forever home" as us people at shelters like to call it then I don't see a problem with them buying them.

My score was shite, but then I couldn't give a toss really! There are some Chinks round here that think that is some kind of menu!
I'm with MyHatred on this one, wherever you get your dog from, love it, and look after it properly.

Whether it's a Pedigree, one of these "purposely bred" dogs, or even just a Heinz 57, and no matter if it's a tiny little thing that will fit in your pocket, or a fucking bear-size, it will be your best friend and when everyone else thinks you are a cunt, will still unconditionally love you. Just look after it!!!!!

My wife is a veterinary nurse, and warns against buying from unscrupulous dealers/breeders.

Besides, my mindset is why spend ridiculous amounts of money for a dog when there are so many that are abandoned, abused, and in need of a home/family?

Makes no sense to me. Unless you've just got that kind of money to blow.

My friend was the breeder and the next thing I knew I had a dog (Buster) then three years later I got another (Emma lee). I suggest adopting which was I kinda did. At least I know some chico bastard aint gonna be fighting the dogs I took. I will say this, I haven't been really involved with music touring for the last 6 years because I have these dogs and I don't regret it one minute..

please adopt.

Hey Papa Josh...ya like Rotting Christ, huh?? :p lololololol

I agree adoption is the way to go. Also, do some research on the breed you want...there are many heredetary ailments that affect different breeds.

Yep. Best thing to come out of Greece. :kickass:

On your second part, absolutely, I want a German Shepard really bad, but they almost always end up with bad hips and arthritis....
