Advanced Room Correction

I think Sound on Sound said it best in their review.....to paraphrase: for less cash and a little effort you can get better results with proper acoustic treatment.

Corrective EQ to solve room problems isn't a new initiative but apparently ARC does it better than most.

Not to mention that it will make only one good "sweet spot" for listening. If you treat the room (and it's not that hard or expensive) the whole room will sound better instead of just one spot. This is something I can't get through the heads of a few audiophile friends of mine.

Very true. They did mention that in the Sound on Sound review as well. The reviewer conducted a test in an untreated room and re-calibrated from different positions and obviously got different EQ results. He did mention they were accurate in determining various elements of the acoustics, but it doesn't make sense to have such a small sweet spot. So much for lying back on the couch at the back of the room now and then!
