Advice on EXODUS tone with XXX!

Loose setting. The master and volume on Garys amp is FUCKING LOUD! Will try it now.

Right, nearly lost half my hearing, but I think this is an improvement. Used Garys settings and threw a Maxon od 808 in front of it (as well as the eq3b) and played it like Genius said, nearer the neck. (I was hitting the pickup).

I like the sound of that technique. Have to work on it though, that shitty pick scrape is irritating, and I think i am actually making the note sharp when I palm mute certain phrases.

Yeah, I'm finding that hard to believe thats its just straight in. I have a HBE powerscreamer and uno mos, even got his sig pedal, the doomsday device. Might fuck around with them for a while!

what where you amp and pedal settings for the last file? it sounds damn close to atrocity exhibition, ive been looking to get that tone with my peavey 3120 so if you could help that would be awesome

Sorry dragging up old post ...

but ..... Ack! The most important part of the rig photo is the midrange settings on the Presonus EQ and its blocked by a mic stand or something!

Anyone know what those settings might be? I have a XXX, and would just like to try to mess around with the Exodus tone. I dont have a Presonus EQ, but my GSP1101 has a 3 band para. Thanks for any help.
