Whattup James. Quick question. I can't take programming my acoustic drums in Reason (Redrum) anymore. I'm ordering loops today, but I need advice on which program will best suit my needs. I have Acid 4.0, but I can order the samples in .REX or "Acidized" .WAV files. What, in your experience is the easiest and/or best software for creating realistic drum tracks?

digital performer.. using midi and multi-layered, velocity-switched sample sets from Battery or Mach Five, or SampleTank or whatever, loaded as an Instrument Track plug-in. with the velocity-switched layers in the sample sets and the humanizing controls in DP you can make extremely realistic performances. i hate loops and Acid and all that.. never use them. hope that's of some help.
