Aerosupply-Honkin' Bubbles

Okay gang... I'm in the same ballpark as everyone else here when it comes to Aerosmith, they became some boring corporate, song formulated bitch that needed a good spanking. However... I heard a cut off the new album on the radio the other day, and decided to download a few samples. I've since listented to the whole album, and have to say that this is the best album they've released since Night In The Ruts!

I'm not a big traditional blues fan, and wouldn't know an old school blues song unless some other rock artist has covered it previously... for instance I do know "Baby Please Don't Go", but I've never heard any of the other songs on this album... and don't know who or what "Bobo" is. But this is a good rockin' blues album, and is the closest thing to old school Aerosmith that they have done in a long while.

Mind you... I don't think it's great... but it certainly doesn't suck, which is what they have been doing for years now. This, may at least, be a stepping stone to them writing a "real" album in the near future!!!!

Well said man. Maybe this record could open the doors for a "return" for Aerosupply to "Rock" again. This record will expose the masses to some blues tracks & it could lead them to check out some of those artists. I admire what they did, but it's hardly a risk when you have the "Sony Empire" backing your record. That would be like Metallica doing an all punk record. That would hardly be a risk & they would sell copies of that left & right.

I'm not big on "straight blues" nor modern Aerosmith. I like some blues rock like The Black Crows, ZZ Top and Blackfoot. I bet Ricky Medlocke (former Blackfoot leadvocalist/lead guitarist) could outplay Joe Perry and outsing Steven Tyler on those old blues songs >:p~
