After Forever: Self titled album

Has anyone else gotten their hands on this?

I picked up my copy last night I would say to date it is their best album. I've heard all their other albums, and they didnt really strike me, save for a few songs that kept my interest.

This new album it totally blowing me away! The vocals are done to perfection and have a great mix of harsh and very operatic.

Favorite track so far: Discord, but that may change.

Anyone else have or heard the new album?

PS I'd like to get more in depth in my thoughts, but I'm on break at work right now and don't have a lot of time to right the massive review this album deserves.

Well, I am not the best person to talk about After Forever, but..... :p
This is for sure one of their best albums (imo)! Some amazing tracks like Discord, Transitory, and Dreamflight!!!

I'm not getting mine until the beginning of June. I purchased it with my Kamelot preorder and they're shipping together.
It's a very solid album though I'm not sure if I'd call it their best, yet. However, I've really loved all of their albums (except for the talking in Invisible Circles but that's a tired topic here) so it's hard for me to pick a favourite.

The new one is a great combination of all four previous albums. If its not their best yet, its damn close. Funny that they released "Energize Me" as a single, as it is in no way representative of the rest of the album!

I was pretty psyched to see these guys live this year, but now I am REALLY geeked after hearing this album!!!

It is a great album. I've had it for a couple of weeks and I can't put it down. It seems like there is less growling on this one which is a big plus for me. And Floor sounds great.

Your best and cheapest bet to get it sinerchris is on ebay.

WHERE DID YOU BUY IT??

There's a killer music store out here in Ct that carries all kinds of music (They even have quite a few Nightmare Records shirts!) Anything from Type O Negative to Kamelot to Bal-Sagoth to Mercenary to Epica and everything in between. I about fell over the first time I went in there and they had Beyond Twilight in stock! It's dangerous going in there... my BF spent $100 in one trip... Bonus that their CD's aren't higher than $14 unless it's a special edition or something.

It's called The Music Outlet in Enfield, CT.

I think there are 3 versions of the CD. The standard jewel case version with 12 songs. Then they have the limited edition digi which includes the bonus song "Lonely". This has a media player for your computer. It has the "Energize Me" video on there and other stuff. Then the last and most expensive is the Japanese version which has 2 bonus tracks-"Lonely" and "Sweet Enclosure". I have the second one. The Japanese version it seems costs $10-15 more just for the one song. I think the extra 2 songs are the only extras on the CD.

So in recap:
1. Standard Jewel case-12 songs
2. Limited Digi-13 songs including "Lonely" and media player
3. Japanese version-14 songs including "Lonely' and "Sweet Enclosure".

Us Version is out already, but I think they are still classifying it as an import...

Or try calling

Music Outlet
54 Hazard Ave, Enfield - (860) 745-2972 to see if they can ship it somewhere for you. It'd be cheaper than the other avenues right now. (I paid $14.99 for my disk).

The US version doesn't come out until this fall. All legal versions out their are the European version.

It's easily one of their best. They're going to be great this year at PPUSA! :headbang:

My copy arrived in the mail a few days ago. Unfortunately the new Allen/Lande, Threshold and Sirenia CDs were in the same package so I haven't gotten around to AF yet. Hopefully this weekend...
