After much contemplation, Movie of the Year goes to...

hmmm

I thought that movie was QUITE overrated... it wasn't horrible, and looked interesting, butnot much else beyond that. They were all cliche stories of guy loves girl, something bad happens to girl, guy slaughters lots of people for the girl.

It is impossible not to have cliches in a movie today, because virtually every idea has been done, unless you're David Lynch, when in that case you make films that have Lynch cliches.

Too overrated... But they should have left the comic book where it belongs. In a comic book. It felt way too much like one. Leave good books alone. If they do a movie for something like 'Wheel of Time' I'd totally kill someone over that. Or I'd have to be a main actor.

Well, it was after all from a comic. :P

hahahah wtf, that was the whole point :err:

edit: oh yeah, and movie of the year

even though I wasn't incredibly familiar with the comic except for an issue I may have read a long while ago, the style alone is what makes it so incredible

I thought it was done very well... Especially keeping it just like the comic book, damn near line for line. If they would've filmed the movie anyother way it just wouldn't have worked.
