looking for a cheap gtr with a floyd just for tracking whammy style solos with. i see these agile guitars look like they might do the job. any thoughts on them or other options?

im very skeptical that a 200 dollar gtr with a floyd can stay in tune at all. anyone out there have any experience with this?

Don't have any floyd Agiles, but the 2 fixed bridge ones I have are fantastic. These all come off a CNC. They're all well made. A little bit of setup work and its just as good as a $500-800 guitar.

i found this definitely to be the case.

If I were in the market for another guitar, and wasn't going custom, I'd pick up another Agile.

And if it's of any help, they ship fast.

Agile guitars are great. I've played two of em', one of which I own and use as my main guitar (the Ghost 3).

One thing aside from the guitar is, they have REALLY, REALLY good customer service.

I purchased an SX 5 string about 2 weeks before Christmas, but didn't have a chance to really examine it until last week - I decided to send it back because of a few minor issues (the kinds of things that can happen with even the most expensive guitars - shit happens). The owner (Kurt) emailed me back on Sunday night at about 11:30 PM to say, even though I had passed the alotted timeframe for a return, they would accept it and send me a replacement anyway. To me, that's incredible devotion to your customer.

So - QC is really good with them, but on the rare occasion you do recieve a guitar that needs to be returned, there is no hassle whatsoever. Honestly, for me, the customer service component of the purchases I make is hugely important. I want to know that if I have an issue or question, that the company I deal with is approachable, and Rondo definitely is. I will most definitely purchase another guitar from them in the future.

As an aside, both of my band mates have made recent purchases from them and the quality of the instruments have been perfect. No complaints at all. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy another guitar.

I have a Agile 6-String baritone. Fucking love it!!! Gets a lot of use... changed the pickups right away though.

Btw. it has a fixed bridge, so I can´t comment on the floyds

The pickups in my Ghost III are awesome, and it gets some of the best tones with clean, dirty, or completely distorted settings.

My guitarist has a 7-string Agile and I love the feel of it. Neck isn't too thick or too thin.
The pickups could be better, but those could be easily switched out.

The only trems that stay in great tune are the Original Floyd Rose and the trems on Ibanez Prestige models.

If you want a guitar with a floyd that stays in tune, be prepared to spend at least $850 if not much more.

Good trems are found on:
ESP M-II (not LTD)
ESP Horizon (not LTD)
Ibanez Prestige models (starting at around $1000 and going up from there)
Jackson USA Models (starting at around $1800 and going up from there)
Carvin guitars DC127, ST300, etc... (these are the cheapest guitars that have the ORIGINAL FLOYD; they don't look as cool though)

I bought an Agile LP years ago when there was first a bunch of hype about them. I've also worked on a few other ones. All of the ones I've gotten my hands on have been absolutely horrendous. Twisted necks, terrible fretwork, finish flaws etc. I don't know if different models are made in different factories, but the ones I've played have been pretty much junk.
