wtf. I can't fgure out for the life of me why people this is good stuff. the video is terrible and totally unprofessional looking. i know they did it themselves, but thats no excuse to put out shit. and their albums are generic and horribly produced. I can't figure it out. can someone explain what they like about this shit?

i heard a song by them a couple of months back...i think that will be the only Akercocke i will be listening to...it just doesnt appeal to me, production is poor and.....what the fuck is it about?!?!

I seen Akercocke support Dismember in Glasgow and they were laughed off the stage (I thought that was a bit much personally) . Some bits of their music are good but some of it i find embarrassing. The 'monk choir' parts I cringe at and the suits !, rather than create some image of evil they just look like they're at Francis Rossi's wedding.
I don't know how many videos they have but I saw the one on the Terrorizer CD and that was embarrassing too. It's not extreme, it's just graphic representations of very old cliches

That's funny coming from you. Aren't you in Serberus? Talk about generic. Akerkocke should be your envy.
I don't mean to offend you, but seriously think about what you're saying. If you consider Akercocke generic, hundreds, maybe thousands, of other bands would be a notch above cover bands.

What is it about them that isn't generic? I ask because I haven't given tehm studied listening as they don't appeal to me.
The holy singing was a popular feature with the death/doom bands 10-12 years ago. The suits on their own merits may not be typical, but I find it contrived and to be the same basic proncipal as the slipknot boiler suits
