Just a few words of advertisement for an exciting group from Finland...

Last night I went to see the band called Alamaailman Vasarat ("The hammers of the underworld") play live at a venue in our capital, Helsinki. I had gotten hold of their debut album "Vasaraasia" some three weeks beforehand and was utterly dumbfounded by the sheer power their music holds. Describing their music is extremely hard, so to say that those interested should definitely give their music a listen would be most appropriate. But to give a hint: their music has a very progressive touch, even metal at times, yet the band consists of no other instruments but drums, a cello, a saxophone, a trombone and a pump organ/keyboards. I would suppose this board to have some people into prog, and Alamaailman Vasarat is truly progressive music in the actual sense of the word. Extraordinary! Check their website at www.vasarat.com , including sound samples and a music video. Thank goodness not all people in Finland play metal or boring rock music!
