Album art for 3rd album

Just thought of this.

The color scheme for The Silvery Image and A Great Divide reminds me of the first 3 albums from Pagan's Mind. The concepts are very different, obviously, but the consistent use of similar colors is what caught my eye.

That's is all. Just a observation, nothing more. Actually, has anyone seen the cover for the next Pagan's Mind? Very weird. A topless lady with 8 arms (or something like that). Not sure if I like it, but they did stray from the color scheme this time.

Honestly, color scheme was supposed to be different on a great divide...we asked for different color, but that's what we got. Go figure...

With that in mind, next album will absolutely not be silver/blue. Pre production on artwork will most certainly be reviewed within the next couple of weeks.

I also do not like the new Pagan's mind cover. It looks like good artwork, but I think it's very unusual and not in the right vein of their music. It seems like something an indian death metal band would put out...I don't know. I have really gotten into PM within the last year and I think they could have done a little better. Again, I don't think it's a bad cover...but I don't think it's the right cover for them.

I don't usually post here but felt the need to this time. I agree that the new PM cover art is not that great;however, I feel it really does fit them right. I would even say it fits them better than their other albums. I would assume that the multi-armed deity on the cover is Shiva, the Indian god of destruciton and rebirth, a "pagan" god. The other album's had deity looking celestials yet they did not stand out as any factual pagan god's. I like that they used Shiva but wish that they would have had a nice sketch drawing or painting instead of a photo realistic image of it. On another note, a friend of mine let me listen to his promotional copy of this album and I think it is the best PM album yet! It is their best mix to date and includes power progressive metal with hints of death, black, doom, and melodic metal.

On a second note, I am a fan of Suspyre too. I bought The Silvery Image back when it first released when I saw the band advertise it on the SyX board. I loved it and I felt this band had a unique potential. I tried to praise the album and get others to listen to it on the SyX board but nobody really listened to me. The Great Divide is the album that proved me right in thinking that this band showed great unique potential on The Silvery Image.

thanks duder for promoting us.

I guess my view of the cover for PM didn't come out right. You hit the nail on the head, it doesn't fit because it doesn't look right. The idea for the cover is cool...but it looks forced. You are correct...a painting would have been much better.

I still can't wait to hear this album...I fully believe it will be awesome.

God's Equation really is awesome. I am still spinning the disc in my car and loving it. Each track really has their own unique identity. This reminds me of how I felt with The Silvery Image's individual tracks. Every song sounds like it fits the album's sound, yet they each have something great about them that makes them stand out from one another.
