I saw it going for sale in a local newspaper for pretty damn cheap , has anyone had these before?
I wouldn't be buying a reverb/delay unit otherwise,but it's so cheap i thought i may aswell (£50)
any experience with these?

I've had two of them since they first came out. It really depends on what you're expecting from them. If you want the smoother, more realistic reverbs that you'll get from some good quality IR's, forget it. But if you like the typical 80's/early 90's reverb sounds...this will get you there. The delays are good sounding, but could stand to have longer times. The chorus is really sweet sounding. I personally love these units. But then again, I love my even older MidiVerb II program #12 on snare (for that instant 80's rock/metal drum sound). :)

Think Phil Collins. I have one of these at work wired in for the crack, (i work in a theatre) - not really a great sounding bit of kit apart from the gated reverb which brings a smile to my face on snares and toms as it reminds me of the chocolate ad with the drumming gorilla. They are just about passable as a live unit if thats all you got, I think plugs are far far far surpassed this and its really worth spending a little more, even on a second hand yammy SPX or similar.
