I have the same problem, ppl regard my Kramer as some shit, fuck. Its the best guitar Ive played on, better than many good guitars. And ppl who didnt even seen one real Kramer (Im not talking about those korean series after '91) claim that its worth nothing...

If Alexi changed to ESP it must mean that he didnt took some piece of junk but a real fine sounding axe...

Bodomic- ESP owned Kramer up until 1995 when Gibson bought the line and moved them onto their Musicyo.com site for sale, etc....In fact, the original Kramers were made in the ESP custom shop on 48th street in NY back in the day (i think from 84-86??)...

@ RockBodom : yeah but my guitar is from Netputne New Jersey, check www.vintagekamer.com if yoiu are interester, but I must say that get info about any Kramer before '91 is difficult, someone told me that my guiar can be from German Shaller instruments or USA made from japan produced parts... This some vierd shit, but what he hell, it sounds fantastic.

i definately agree with the fact that its not what you play, its how you play it. i mean, i play a custom made sadowsky from the 80's. everyone assumes that since they havent heard of them, they suck...when IMO my guitar kicks ass. and just for the record, its not really fair to say any type of guitars "suck"...to each his own....unless of course you're talking about epiphones

Ibanez, heh. An ibanez pimped out is decent. And I did the stupidest fucking thing, I put an EMG in my ibanez, and btw, I still have the passives, and yes, the ground wire was dc/ed. I think I'm gonna buy another 81, has anyone played an emg 81 in neck? And how much difference do the damn pots make? I have my standard pots, which are probably, shit, I actually don't know, but the emgs come with the 250ks right?

Good question. If you want a Jackson gainboost you need longanimity. For me it took over a year to get one. The problem is, that they are not availiable right now. You must get them used. They cost around 20-50 or even more Euros. Check the Jackson Forum www.jcfonline.com , maybe someone has one for sale. Good luck dude.
You just need it if your amp gives not enough distortion. Like Alexis Lee Jackson Preamp. Thats the reason why he uses it, and why I use it. The JE-1000 gainboost is the only one who gives you that much distortion. It really boosts much.

I think that you get what you pay for UNLESS you buy an artist series. These guitars are fucking overpriced because they have a name on them. In my opinion, if you buy an artist series guitar (in most cases), you will pay much more than what your instrument should be worth.
