Iam a guitar player an am awe stricken at alexis playing

i have some questions for u cob guitar players if u can answer

on downfall- the solo- does alexi pick all of that, that fast??

on kissing the shadows- does he sweep or pick all of those notes, and does he pick all of the solo after the first synth solo

on towards dead end solo- does he pick it all??

Ill try my best, but I could be wrong First Alexi picks mostly, but he uses sweeping mixed with tapping, but he mainly picks... then:

downfall - naturally he picks all
kissing the shadows - picks and sweeps, after synths he strike the first note on each string and the rest is just left hand... Then he obviously picks...

The best way to see what is he doing is to get some tabs. generally if there is string skipping, he sweeps, if there are those crazy fast lines and solo parts he picks, cant think of other technique... Hope this helps

In KTS, he picks a lot of things, he sweeps a lot of things
If you have adsl you should DL the live in seoul, he plays it and you'll quite clearly see what he picks or sweeps.
Of course the sort of waves are sweeps, or sweep taping if I'm not mistaking, I'm not sure of the english technical words.
They also play towards dead end, I'm not sure for Downfall (I actually haven't seen the movie entirely).

By the way, talking about this live in seoul, was it quite soon after the release of FTR ? Cuz' Alexi has a hard time singing while playing the solo-riff...
