Alice in Chains: the hair metal days

Haha that's great! I knew they were a glam band before but I didn't know it went all the way back to 1986. Of course everyone was glam in 1986, though.

Yeah, but AIC weren't a thrash metal band. Hell, they were borderline glam right before Facelift came out. Thank god they saw the error of their ways.

But then again, it's just Layne Staley, and the entire reason they got him was because he was such a good singer in his glam band, Alice 'N Chains. He was a huge GnR fan.

You realize that this isn't even the same band that we heard on Facelift and Dirt right? This isn't even the band that has Jerry Cantrell in it, it's the band that has Layne on vocals (before he left and kept the name) and soon to be My Sister's Machine guitarist/vocalist.

But hey, this looks like it was before Layne: the strung out junkie years.

Lol. He'd like to think that was never the case.
