Musically, The Showdown sounds like A mix of both previous releases with The Battle being more melodic and The Revenge which was more in the hard rock direction, according to Karlsson, who concludes Im more satisfied than ever with the songs and performances, but also because the mix by Achim Kohler (Primal Fear) is by far the best I ever had on any album!
The Showdown cover art was designed once again by Rodney Matthews (ASIA, MAGNUM, DIAMOND HEAD, etc.) and includes the following tracks:

I like the song quite a bit and I'm looking forward to hearing the whole album. However, I find their marketing for this thing really weird. The teaser only featured Jorn and now the 1st official video is also a Jorn-only song. Where the hell is Russell Allen in that? I mean, if it's a Allen/Lande album, get the 2 singers to make a teaser and do a video that feature both...

I have this image of Jorn sleeping in a cot in the Frontiers Records storage room. Every week or so they bang on the door and go "Hey Lande, we got another project for you!"

You know you've listened to the trailer (of this song) one too many times when the FULL song sounds weird and you keep waiting for it to fade/cut off...
I'm of the opinion that Jorn could in fact sing the telephone book and make it incredible...and I'd buy it too!
