Allen/Lande

Gotta love the artwork too

I'd actually have to say that Magnus Karlsson is the one guy we have to have at Progpower who hasn't been here yet. I don't even care which project he's here for either. Last Tribe, Planet Alliance, Allen/Lande, Starbreaker, even Tony O'Hora.

I'm glad you mention the Tony O'Hora disc. Very fine melodic stuff with excellent vocals, that noone ever mentions...

Yeah, and practically impossible to find, which is why no one mentions it. It took me six months after the release date for me to find it on Ebay. It's like the only metal CD in the world that CD Inzane doesn't carry.

Although I'd have to rate it the least good of Karlsson's albums. There's just no bite to it. It doesn't make me rock out. It's just sorta cool melodic rock. It could have stood to have a true rock out moment like "Come Alive" was for the Allen/Lande disc.

From http://www.bravewords.com/news/63949 :
"Frontiers Records has launched a MySpace page ( http://www.myspace.com/allenlande2 ) to coincide with the release of The Revenge, the second chapter of the ALLEN/LANDE musical alliance, on May 11th. The first result of Jorn Lande (ex-MASTERPLAN) and Russell Allen's (SYMPHONY X) collaboration, The Battle, was unleashed in September, 2005.

Once again songs were written by guitar sensation Magnus Karlsson (STARBREAKER, LAST TRIBE), the second chapter aptly titled The Revenge is ready to be unleashed, with cover art specifically designed for this project by Rodney Matthews (DIAMOND HEAD, MAGNUM, ASIA) and heavier and with a tighter production, thanks to the involvement of Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69, ANGRA, PLACE VENDOME) at the mix.

The Revenge will include the following songs: 'The Revenge' (vocals: Jorn and Russell, mp3 sample), 'Obsessed' (Russell, mp3 sample), 'Victory' (Jorn and Russell), 'Master Of Sorrow' (Jorn), 'Will You Follow' (Russell), 'Just A Dream' (Jorn and Russell), 'Her Spell' (Jorn, mp3 sample), 'Gone Too Far' (Russell), 'Wake Up Call' (Jorn and Russell, mp3 sample), 'Under The Waves' (Jorn), 'Who Can You Trust' (Jorn and Russell), 'When Time Doesn't Heal' (Jorn and Russell).

The Revenge will be out in Europe on Frontiers Records on May 11th, with release in Japan scheduled on King Records. "

I can;t wait to buy this one. I loved their first record done together. Is this one more of both singers? I ask because the Battle seemed more Jorn, not that there is ANYTHING wrong with that.
