Ok, I have Altiverb 5.0. I can't figure out how to use it.

Now to elaborate. I want to import these speaker impulses everyone has been putting up lately. That's what I can't figure out. Anyone know how to import a wav of the impulse into AV5.0 or how to make it into a preset....??? Thanks in advance.

Does Alitiverb normally use .wavs, or does it have it's own format like Waves IR (or whatever it's called)? If it uses .wavs, then the help page on their site says you click on 'presets', select open, and just find the files - which I'm guessing you've already tried. You can add things to the presets list by putting them in the 'Altiverb/presets' folder, if the normal way isn't working try that.

If it doesn't use .wavs, you'll need to get them converted - apparently if you're using the PC version, you can ask the makers for the sweeping signal, send them your recording of it, and they'll deconvolve it and send you back the impulse file.

Yeah, tried that, still not picking them up. Any idea what sample rate and dither they have to be at by any chance?

006...... Altiverb uses it's OWN L/R format on impulses. You can grab ALL the impulses you want and go try the SoundGrinder 15-day trial to convert them over to Altiverb format L/R.
