Ambient Rock Mix (Like Circa Survive / Saosin)

How are those hs80ms? I have krk rokit 5s im thinking about upgrading to hs80ms, the thing is rokit5's also have great reviews dunno if i should but ive been thinking about it. Btw your mix sounds fantastic great job. Guitars do indeed sound like circa survive. Great job.

thanks! i actually had some first-gen rokit 6s before my hs80s. upgrading made a HUGE difference...it was like someone lifted blankets off of my speakers and my mixes started to translate better to other systems.

Man the vox are awesome, and the mix in general is great, nice work, I would maybe give the guitar a pit more punch in the low end. They can sound kinda boxy and thin a times. To weigh in on the monitors thing I have a pair of G2 Rokit 6's and they seem to give me pretty unbiased reliable results that translate pretty well to other mediums, that being said these are the only monitors I've ever owned

The rhythm section is a little weak in the low-end. Guitars are slightly too bright for my tastes. Drums sound pretty good though. GREAT vocalist and I loved the song.

Boring lyrics but that's an intriguing vocalist. Drums sound very sampled to me.. on a more constructive note it might be helpful to add some compression to the set except the kick just to add some realism to them. bring the vocals up a little more. Good work overall.

Now this is what I'm searching for!
This mix sounds so amazing!!!
Incredible vocalist!
Any further information about this project and the mix?
Would be great!

Like everyone else said, I think the low end needs more punch. But judging by the waveforms it isn't very loud right now, so maybe pushing it through some mastering would really bring out a nice shine. Love the feel of the music though!
