Amon Amarth confirmed for Wacken 2006

Surprised to not see it announced here! Either that, or I'm blind, which is entirely possible, since I've been drunk for the better part of the past week. :tickled:

Very strange ???

I went to the official site and the site said nothing about amon but the blabbermouth site said it's official.
Thank you for the info
I must go to wacken this year. Emperor and Amon

If I remember the months leading up to Wacken 2003, they're fairly slack about updating their main site, and Blabbermouth gets the press releases (so is more trusted).

Wish I could go this year!

with some friends we were thinking of going to Wacken this year. it depends on the final lineup.. for now it seems promising.. AA, Finntroll, Wintersun, Aborted, Cannibal..
but Destroyer 666 is tempting in Party San too..
where is Party San exactly?

bad berka... it's this wee dink ass town in the middle of nowhere...
and the festival area surrounded by wheat fields... how metal...

It is official, we would've announced it a while ago but having some problems with the homepage. (forgotten passwords)

I hope only the first part is true and not the 2nd one (only Open Air in Germany 2006). Was really hoping to see AA again at With Full Force.

Any plans for a european (germany) tour this year? Probably after the album is finished? Just like 2 years ago. ;)

I think it's a good idea to go this year. Cannibal corpse, emperor and Amon so far.
Once again Thank u for the info

ha ha, if my username didn't give it away, I live in (northern) New Jersey in the U.S., right outside of New York City.

And I don't play a single instrument, unless you count a MEAN air guitar. Just ask Belgar, he'll tell you. :tickled:

I listen to mostly:
black metal
pagan/heathen metal
viking metal
some power metal
Iron Fucken Maiden

I was'nt sure because you're presentation said that you are from Valhalla *S*
Belgar is he from sweden?

Belgar is from another planet if you ask me, but I guess technically he's from Florida, by way of Belgium.

Ha ha
Then it's a long way for you to Wacken. Haven't you got a lot of good festivals in the states ?

Nope, but we DID just have Heathen Crusade (Thyrfing, Primordial, Moonsorrow), so I'm far from complaining.

I've been to Wacken before, but as you can imagine, it's an expensive trip that requires at least a decent amount of time off from work. I hope to make it back next year, or to Sweden Rock perhaps.

Have you seen the bandlist for sweden Rock?
What do u think about it?
Have you any good band from New Jersey ? except the boss i mean ?

I've seen the list for Sweden Rock, it's cool. I like the mix of metal, hard rock & rock, it looks like it'd be fun, year after year.

As for bands from New Jersey, we have:
Overlorde (heavy metal)
Krieg (true black metal)
Dillinger Escape Plan (I don't know how to describe, they suck anyway)
Overkill (thrash metal)
Symphony X (prog metal)
Beyond the Flesh (melodic death/black metal)

ummm, that's all I can think of right now
