I want to take Amon Amarth and their lyrics compared to the viking mythology for my oral "Matura" in English (= similiar to the "A-level")
That´s something I´m interrested in and I can talk long...:headbang:

Sooooo, some suggests?? :heh:

I believe its the lyrics for "..and soon the world with cease to be" or "the arrival of the fimbulwinter" which are directly taken from the Edda.
I'm not sure cause my version of the Edda is in french but when i read it i believe i noticed very similar sentences to the lyrics of one or both of these two songs.

Hmm... Nearly all of the songs have some parts of the Eddas woven into them, but my picks would be...
  • Sorrow Throughout The Nine Worlds
  • Arrival of Fimbul Winter
  • Burning Creation
  • The Fall Through Ginnungagap
  • Down the Slopes of Death
  • ...And Soon The World Will Cease To Be
  • Hermod's Ride To Hel

1000 years of oppression - although not word for word, the whole beginning part ("He hung on the windswet world tree whose roots no one knows" etc) is from the Edda).
