Amon Amarth Whisky

Hi,

I read the latest Rock Hard interview with Amon Amarth. There was mentioned that they are going to bottle their own scotch whisky cask.
That sounds really great, but does anybody know some more details on that? The distillery, the age, etc?
And of course: Since I really like single malt whisky (and metal) i would be pretty happy if there is a chance to get a bottle of the whisky (assuming that I like the distillery ).

Not sure mate but I'm not at all shocked to hear it... Two things are immediately apparent to me though:

1. It won't be shit... Those guys know good whisky and they won't put their name to a crappy blend or run of the mill malt, my bet is a 16-25 yo smokey, peaty-goodness filled Islay malt, bottled at Ardbeg or Laphroaig.

2. I want at least 2 bottles!!

Can't say I've read that interview either, but, If it's Scotch whisky it would have to be distilled in Scotland, right???

I often end up on a whisky shopping tour and in the last few years I've seen Swedish whisky, Breton Whisky, Welsh Whisky (very nice stuff, that one), Indian Whisky and *gulp* English whisky come in the mainstream and specialist shops, even here in Scotland. Indie distilleries are popping up everywhere and making stuff in their own ways that is getting really good reviews so I would not be surprised if it was along these lines.

Ok, nice idea But I didn't think about the date when I wrote the post.

There were really a few words about in the latest german Rock Hard magazine, that's why I am curious and looking for more information.
