Amorphis!!!!

I've never used Impulse before - they a good company? They have some of the import stuff like the Amoprhis you mentioned for way cheaper compared to other places. They aren't the Mexican versions or anything like that - are they?

As long as they have the item in stock, they send really quickly. I've never gotten a bad item from them, but if they run out, some times it's tough finding out what is going on. They don't email you to let you know something is on backorder. It just stinks I ordered directly from the label and won't get it till the release date where as I could of had it a couple weeks prior ordering from Impulse, as well as the new Hammerfall.

It's true. He doesn't usually inform you what's going on with it if there's a problem. Typically if you don't get it in 3-5 days (unless it's a pre-order) you can assume there's a problem. However, if you email him, 95% of the time he'll email you a response about the status the same day, at the latest the following day.
A lot of the time, Scarecrow releases are in shitty cheap cardboard digipaks, and there have been mastering issues with Scarecrow releases as well, so I'm always wary of buying them.

very true....almost all of my Scarecrow CD's are falling apart. The glue does not last long. I had to reglue most of them.

I've had issues with the glue also, but never had any issues with the quality of the disc. The other nice part is that they will release NTSC DVDs for things that may not get a North American release otherwise.
In general, I try to stick with ordering the Nuclear Blast version whenever possible, but sometimes that just isn't an option.
For Impulse, I recommend going old-school and calling in your order whenever possible. Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to get through, but everyone I have ever talked to there has been very cool and helpful, and they will tell you right away if something is out of stock.

I swirtched to Impulse a few years ago after having repeated problems with another on line seller (who is a vendor at PPUSA) and I have been happy with Impulse's service. I make orders at least every month and sometime more often. I always call and speak with owner Steve and he tels me immediately what he has, doesn't have, when something willbe in, etc. He priority mails everything and I receive my stuff in a few days. If you call and Steve doesn't answer, leav a message and he will--by my experience-always call you back ASAP--usually the same day.

Thanks for all the input folks - greatly appreciated. I tried emailing him yesterday - maybe I will try a phone call tomorrow.

The Amorphis CD arrived today and it isn't the Stormcrow pressing - it's a Japanese one!! Weird...
