I messed up big time with my 6505+ 112. somehow both poles of the power cable going to leds touched each other and something on the board went up in smoke. on second sight it's something called d23 the wire around it is black and the capacitor (or whatever) went up in smoke.
could you help me out answering me some questions?
1. will the amp work despite the the ruined piece? maybe it's just for the leds and if i don't use it won't affect the rest of the amp?
2. is it safe at all to turn the amp on?
3. how dumb am I, serioulsy?
4. what will it cost, having this thing repaired?

Looking at the schematic, D23 is part of the rectifier for the preamp tube section. So the amp won't work.

At this point your best bet is to take it to a tech or repair shop. No idea on cost because it depends on your area. Even for me I would have to test to try and figure out the extent of the damage. Tubes and other parts my be gone.

But I would expect at least $100 and be thankful if it is less than that. Sorry bro.

they asked for 140€, but did some led replacement too. I'm quite happy with it now:
