Anyone know of how to achieve a closed back sound with an open back amp? I have an open back Peavey Classic Chorus 212.

The only thing I can think of involves permanatly modifying your amp. What you would do is seal the back of the amp off. BUT you must create air holes to let the speakers breathe. I don't know if you can do this with your amp. Its designed to be an open back for a reason, air flow. No or little air flow can result in damaging the speaker.

That's just it, I really don't wanna permanently modify it.....there's a "new and used" guitar joint I frequent when I can afford it and I like to use the amp I have as a trade in like I have in the past. Right now as is, my amp "fetches" $300 at the place I like to go and "window shop". What about a single 12" speaker as long as it has a chorus on it for a more "spacious" sound? Any "better" or "worse" than my 212 open back?
