An economics professor at Stanford College made a statement that he had never failed a single student before,
but had once failed an entire class.

--------------------------------------------

That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D!
No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1912920,00.html - "The Biggest Hurdles to Healthcare Reform"

I found it to be a good read. And it could be funded.

Close the loopholes for Corporate America - make corporate america work better because it has to, not just by getting by on cutting corners.

Remove tax exempt status for religious organizations - See how "religion" shrinks in this country.

How did a bunch of slackers get into Stanford?

I think there are very intelligent AA people in this world. However they need to earn it just like you and I do. Affirmative action is a joke.

affirmative action.

An affirmative action policy would accept people based on ethnicity or gender from the qualified pool of people applying for said postion.

So while you might get the postion based on your race, ethnicity or gender, you would still have to meet all the same qualifications anyone else would for the postition.

Hey bro:)
I just came back to put flowers on this board since it's dead, and I get a "hi"
from a pal... Maybe I'll keep the flowers off the grave for a little while longer.

You still beating the skins?

Hope everything is good with you bro :kickass:

Yeah, I'm still playing drums, but not as much as I used to...

Things are going good in my neck of the woods:yow:

Well, most people without a greedy jewish state of mind actually work hard because they are passionate about what they do, not because they want a reward in cash. That whole thing says more about some people's morals and values than about socialism. Therefore, you can't compare a grade with money. That's like saying that in a socialist society you can't get anywhere no matter how hard you try, when the opportunities are actually the same, the reward being your actual accomplishment and possibility do what you want.
Money has nothing to do with this, and money should never be a driving force behind your actions, as long as you can live a decent life with what you already have.

oh, geez... not one of you antisemite pieces of crap. what sewer did you float up from?

this example of what Socialism does to a society is accurate. if there's no reward for hard work [except more hard work] and those who do nothing get just as much, thanks to the grabby hands of a Socialist government, why bother working, at all?
it wouldnt be long before everybody stopped working, waiting on a Robin Hood government to find the people left working to squeeze the welfare checks from.

Can anyone come up with instance with the same matching qualities between a white man and a black man when it came to things like a job interview. I just think its a cop-out to lower the bar and make someone feel better who might not deserve it.
