That's the best band we Finns have managed to put out so far. Their debut, Dynamic Gallery of Thoughts beats any similar Norwegian synth-black album, even Enthrone Darkness Triumphant. And the second album, Symmerty of I is even better than its predecessor.

BTW, on one song there is a part that reminds of Opeth. I grant you one tip, it's on the first album. ;o)

'Det tisslar och tasslar
Lyssna, löven grasslar'
- ...and Oceans / Trollfan

I have their albums and to be honest I really have to be in the mood for them. The last one, A.M.G.O.D. took a bit to get into. What are they up to these days anyhow ? Working on a new album ? I´ve tried to visit their website several times and it never has anything more than a front page.

I have their first album, "Dynamic Gallery...", but I was never really into them. I guess they may be good for someone who likes this style of black metal but they rather bore me after a while. I'll try to check their other albums, they may catch my attention more. By the way the best bands you Finns have managed to put out so far is Amorphis. :D :D

i started checking out ...and oceans yesterday. some weord stuff, not sure if i like it yet, but i'm not not liking it:D .

By the way the best bands you Finns have managed to put out so far is Amorphis.
DEFINATELY!!!

I have the first album, but I haven't noticed anything that could remind me of Opeth (Orchid era perhaps?)...
Don't like it, cause it's nothing new/innovative, it's rather predictable with 'alreadyheardsomanytimes' syndrome.

Btw, the best Finnish bands are Amorphis, Yearning and Tenhi.
And that's my Taste!

...and Oceans are good I like the A.M.G.O.D. but the best Finnish metalband must be Faerghail. Their album "Where angels dwell no more" are great and then we have CoB... ahh =)

Yes, I agree, Amorphis' Tales from the Thousand and Black Winter Day EP really are the best albums our boys have made and that opinion has actually lasted for five years now. Elegy is also a good one, but not as good.

Here's the answer to 'the Opeth reminding aO song' -question. On September (När hjärtat blöder) there's a part which is actually quite straightly taken from In Mist She Was Standing - from its beginning actually. And it's repeated a few times so it's strange if one, who has heard them both, hasn't noticed it. It may not be a note to note copy, but it sounds very much the same.

Hehe, I should have actually written that aO is 'one of the best bands...', since it's impossible to decide which is the best, but, hehe, that's my style. ;)
