There's a great interview with Tracii Guns in this month's Kerrang!
Here's part of it:
The late 80s/early 90s rock scene is often regarded with disdain. Do you think that's unfair?
"No. Between 1990 and 92 you had a gigantic amount of signings of clone bands that weren't really the real deal, and people got tired of it. So that leaks over into your band, which is one of the originals. Slash went through the same thing with Snakepit. He was out there on playing to 200, 300 people a night -- this is one of the greatest guitar players of our time. None of us could arrested; Nikki could go into a mall in Hollywood and no one would even ask for his autograph."
Do you think you'd be able to write your own version of 'The Dirt'?
"Oh, I'm going to. The craziest thing about my book, and Nikki always says this to me, he goes, you know, it's funny, you've managed to do 10 times the things the four guys in Motley Crue did, completely under the radar. And people just don't know the things I've been through, especially with LA Guns, especially with GNR, the people I've played with, from Johnny Thunders to the Misfits, Motorhead, all this stuff. And I've got all these incredible, crazy stories with all these people, and Nikki always goes, yeah, you'll put out a book called 'The Real Dirt'!"
