It's a spelling mistake of a name. I've seen many people called "Simmons" whereas she is the first person I've seen to spell it with one 'M'.

Tarja is much more metal than Anette in every possible sense. Anette looks like a popstar, acts like a popstar, sings like a popstar. Which doesn't mean her voice isn't good: her character just doesn't fit the context as a whole.

PS: About Simone Simons, she's definitely hot, but fails live, and if I want to see good looking women I won't pay 20€ for a gig ticket but I'll get a mag/lurk the net, I saw Epica with Sonata Arctica and maybe it was Simone's worst live performance and I shouldn't judge her for that one, but she'd been better with the mic off. She didn't match any of the vocal harmonies and that stuff. Studio great, but live didn't like her. Should I try again or is it always like that? (BTW show was Barcelona)

She seems ok there... so not sure, she has been sick lately if that's when you saw them?
I liked Tarja better in NW, but don't like her solo stuff. I like Anette aswell, she really suits the duet on the new Brother Firetribe album.. more so than Nightwish.

Well, I've just seen them live once and my goal was Sonata Arctica who were headliner, so that + she didn't do it that good made it. If I ever find myself somewhere where they are playing I'll give it a go again.

Tarja has a very unique voice, and it's powerful. Anette is a beautiful singer, but Tarja will always be better for me.
