"The Splendid Iniquity" official video:

Featuring a cast of seasoned veterans who share roots that reach back to the very beginnings of the Death Metal Movement, ANGEROT are more than a nod to early Swedish Death Metal, they are pure Swede Death Worship. Recorded with Eddie G at Underground Studios, mixed by Tomas Skogsberg (Entombed, Dismember, Carnage, Grave, At the Gates) at Sunlight Studios and mastered by Brad Boatright at AudioSeige, The Splendid Iniquity is a savage 40 minute sonic assault of 90's Earache Records-era buzzsaw on your ear drums.

The album boasts guest appearances by some of the greatest names in Death Metal; LG Petrov (Entombed, Entombed AD, Firespawn), James Murphy (Death, Cancer, Disincarnate, Obituary, Testament ), making The Splendid Iniquity an absolute must-listen for any fan of 90s Death Metal.

"Angerot have mastered the art of HM2-drenched Swedish death metal worship."
- Decibel Magazine

"What is an excellent album. It's fucking heavy and it's fucking good!"
- Metal Temple

"Blunt, heavy and very effective. 'The Splendid Iniquity' is a record that will keep spinning for every true death metal fan. Great debut!"
- Lords of Metal

"This is death in its purest and most menacing form."
- Cadaver Garden

"As death metal as they come but hardly living in the past, The Splendid Iniquity is a roaring beast of aggression and malice."
- Games, Brrraaains & AHead-Banging Life

"Not a facsimile, but an inspired and cretinous death metal cudgel Angerot is just as capable of doing their own thing as they are at paying tribute to the old Swedish gods."
- Grizzly Butts

"From start to finish, this album just screams of the early Swedish Death Metal scene. If you heard Swedish, and metal, and came looking for a more melodic death metal sound, you're going to be sorely disappointed."
- Overdrive Music Magazine

"Amazing death metal sound complemented by great vocal work and just the overall brutality. Angerot is an example to follow. This is how to stand out from the rest."
- Capital Chaos TV

"The dynamic songs range from mid-tempo crushers to more uptempo and frenetic blazers. The guitar work is top-notch. Guest appearances from legends like LG Petrov (Entombed) and James Murphy (Death, Obituary) add even more credibility to what's already an impressive debut."
- Heavy Music Headquarters

"There's no denying that if this album were released back in the day, it would stand comfortably alongside others whose landmark position and indelible impression is heralded even to this day." 9/10
-Drunk in a Graveyard

"Those who love the beginnings of Scandinavian non-melo death should love this approach!"
- Metal France

"This is one of those albums that doesn't have any holes. It's dynamic and accessible. It's a thundering album."
- Glacially Musical
