I been listening to alot of Annhilator lately... mainly the albums...

All for you
Schizo Deluxe
Alice in Hell
Never never land

I just think they are fucking great. I believe they have enough prog elements to be considered for Progpower.

I think Jeff Waters is probably one of the most under rated guitarists in metal.

It sucks though him and Jeff Loomis (Nevermore) had some stupid fued on blabbermouth awhile back.

I don't know that they'd fit for PP IMO, but they were one of my favorite bands for a while back circa AIH-Never, Neverland. i haven't listened to them much since then, though, so I can't really comment on the more "recent" material. :)

I'm with Shaye, in regards to them not being right for PP, if we're talking about the regular fri & sat roster. I do however think they would be a great Pre-party band. With the Pre-party show now being on the main stage, and effectively being a third night of PP, having bands like this would go further in separating the Pre-party from the regular PP show...giving it more of it's own identity, if you will.

Annihilator is a wonderful Canuck thrash band. They don;t quite fit the criteria as either Power metal or Prog metal. But as someone just stated, maybe as a 2nd or 3rd band on the Pre-Party would be cool. I would like to go on record that the new singer just does not do it for me. I have not enjoyed the last record or 2 because of the singer.

A personal fave since the beginning, but they don't strike me as a PPUSA candidate. That being said, I wouldn't complain if they ended up on the roster of either the pre-party OR the festival. Who would I be to question Glenn's decision to book them as an oddball? Seeing them at PPUSA would be the only way this South Texan would probably get to see them, and that would be fucking cool...!

The past few albums have been good, not great, although all their albums have had their metal moments through the years. For those that may be unaware, aside from AiH and Never (albums that everyone knows), they had a bright spot with the Carnival Diablos album a while back (with Joe Comeau on vox). Check it out if you're not familiar...

Rock on!

Although given the past history of folks like Devin Townsend playing ProgPower, Annihlator would be the perfect "oddball" band.
