Woah. This is interesting.

http://www.rleague.com/article.php?id=15477

It has been reported in New Zealand that star Warriors forward, Ali Lauitiiti has been released from his contract and wont play again for the club again.

This is tragic news for Warriors fans, and a sure fire sign that all is not well in Warriorland.

More to follow as more concrete news comes to hand.
This is very interesting and very unexpected. There's also been speculation about whether Stacey Jones is going to leave the club, but they've denied this.

Very interesting. Hopefully Ali will be picked up by another Australian-based club soon - it'd be a shame to see him go to England like most off-contract Kiwis seem to do.

Released? No reason given at all? Is he the centre that always argues with the referee?

Oh, I thought maybe it was the guy who mouths off all the time, I dont like him, he has a sort of afro i think, and he plays centre or wing.

So what did Ali do wrong?

You're probably thinking of Clinton Toopi .... a few weeks ago the bloody idiot was getting a speaking too by the ref and was told "any more and you're going off".

What does he do? Open his bloody mouth to argue! Before he could say 2 words he was spending 10 minutes on the sideline.

Warriors be doing a neat impersionation of internal combustion me thinks :(

No idea yet what Ali did wrong. I think it might have to do with Daniel Anderson, there have been a few players who have left since he became coach because they don't get along with him, the most notably being Logan Swann and Motu Tony. I think Jason Death was another. He's already told Mark Tookey he's free to join another club.

ANd don't forget his "issues" with other players. Namely Matt Utai, who we won't pick because Utai has an attitude problem.
Notice how you never see Daniel Anderson smile?

As for jones, I reckon the test match might have picked him up a little. If he lifted for the test match, and then played well in the test, his confidence would sky rocket

St George-Illawarra's offloading of Amos Roberts was a good decision over summer, wasn't it? Grrrr. :( I was away when it happened, so only found out recently. It was because of the salary cap, right?

Sheesh. The Herald Sun is reporting that two more (unnamed) Warriors want a release. Also, Souths, Cronulla, the Roosters, the Bulldogs, Manly and Parramatta have all expressed interest in Ali.

Fun times ahead!

Stacey Jones is one of them who is reportedly having troubles with the coach, would explain a lot...

haha yeah woops, I was thinking in general about people who had probs with daniel anderson.

As for Roberts, that sucked. He's got a heap of potential, I have NO idea why saints released him. well I do, it was salary cap related I think, that and he didn't fit into their 'team plan' sort of thing..... But yet saints still managed to buy john carlaw from the warriors (I believe, though i have no idea what he's up to), and lincoln withers.... bah!

Fucking idiots. They're going pretty well, but surely they could still do with him. Why am I not surprised you think it was a good movie, Spawny? :)

Am I the only Victorian into rugby league here?!
