How anyone could think Among is not the best Anthrax record is beyond me?

My guess is that your average Anthrax fan(past or present) would have Among as their favorite and probably POT as second. This is no slight on Bush, they were just better albums that's all. It wasn't that Joey was better, just the music was better. Of course this is all just IMO.

not just your opinion man! a momentary record like VOLUME 8 can't even be compared to a timeless masterpiece like AMONG THE LIVING!

I voted with Volume 8. There are a couple of great songs on this album (ie Inside Out, Big Fat) but I think it could have used more work. My guess is that it may have been rushed. Or maybe there weren't many songs written in order to weed out whichever weren't true winners. Each song has it's moment but we're voting on least favorite album and it doesn't really have the feeling of a concept album. I'm a fan of both singers by the way. I hate being labeled as a new fan just because I favor Bush. Persistance of Time is the album that Bush should have sang on. To me, the top 3 Anthrax albums are POT, SOWN, and WCFYA. If it comes down to those three, I have no idea which I'll go with.

its beyond me how stomp got so many votes,on the other hand it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing!

It's beyond me why alot of people chose stomp as well. They all have really powerful ferocious songs. Maybe lack of promotion or no lead guitarist has something to do with it. I have to say that when I heard Dimebag played on it, I was somewhat dissappointed.

I think I know of another reason why I chose to eliminate V8. I haven't heard it in well over 2 years. The only copy that I ever had of it skips like hell. Every song skips. I have the Inside Out single. That's the only way I can hear it. And Given the Horns should have been on the album.

Lack of hooks/variety! I struggle to tell the songs apart, there seems to be no choruses to sing along to. Vol 8 is full of them. Apart from Inside Out which I think is one of Anthrax's weakest songs and I can't understand why people are well into it.

I dunno... I liked Stomp, but... SOWN is one of those albums with no bad songs. Same with Among The Living & Persistence of Time. WCFYA is getting close, too. So it was a toss between V8 & Stomp. I chose Stomp over V8 because, to me, there were more tracks on that one that I played the shit out of, compared to Stomp. I mean, shit, between "Crush" and "Killing Box," I've found no reason to skip a track!
