THEY OWNED tonight!!!
grand show...abso-fuckin-lutely spectacular!
After the show, the boys were nice enough to let the people that had pre-ordered the DVD (which I attended the screening for the night before), stay at the venue and they signed and greeted everyone. Rob, John and Charlie remembered my sister from the night before (she was the one that just asked for a hug). They could not have been nicer. Got my booklet for the DVD signed by the boys... AWESOME!
The crowd was SOOOO loud that John, Scott, Rob and Joey were smiling the whole time (I'm too short and I was very close, so I couldn't see Charlie).
Thanks Anthrax, I'm glad to see LA gave you the proper send-off to Japan.!

What a show. I was able to book a last minute flight, and glad I did. The show was fucken awsome. Joey Vera fit right in. A great first gig Joey, way to go. They included Deathrider in the set, and Belly of the Beast, and Be all End All which was nice, plus all the usual songs. Keanu Reeves was there watching the band, and the pit was sick.

Everyone in Japan, Australia, and Europe, have a great time at the upcoming shows, welcome Joey like he has always been the bass player, he did a great job. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I attended the screening for the new DVD on Wednesday night as well and told John that I would see him front and center at the Whisky last night. They took the stage and it was instant erruption throughout the entire place. Standing room only as they blistered into What Doesn't Die. John talked to the crowd letting us know that the night felt good and that we would give Chicago a run for their money. Then they went into Got The Time and then Caught In A Mosh. I can't name the entire set list from beginning to end in order, but the mix of old and new was absolutely amazing. Everything from Antisocial and Be All End All from State of Euphoria to Keep It In The Family, Belly of the Beast and Got The Time off of Persistence of Time to Caught in a Mosh and N.F.L. from Among the Living. I have seen these guys about 7 times and never have I seen N.F.L. The next time you go and see them, ask for that song. It absolutely kills live. Only was the sole track off of Sound of White Noise. In addition to What Doesn't Die, they did Nobody Knows Anything and Refused to Be Denied. One of the big surprises was Deatherider off of Fistful of Metal. Insane! The typical closer in Bring the Noise to close the set out. One last little surprise to end the show. They blistered into the first verse of Whiplash and basically put it into double time. Allowed the crowd to yell out one big loud Whiplash and ended the set. The total set time was about an hour and a half. 1 AM came much too quickly as I did not want the evening to end. This was one of the best best if not the best set I have seen Anthrax play in 10 years!!

Joey Vera was solid as a rock. Playing, singing, performance were all great.
The sound was amazing in the venue and it was so packed. I saw System Of A Down, Puddle Of Mud there. System should take out Anthrax!
Keep It In The Family was so heavy. John said something about no one writing good 7 minute songs any more. I wonder who he was talking about?
Deathrider was unexpected and sick. The pit went nuts.
Am I crazy or did they end Belly Of The Beast with Rush's YYZ?
What a show.

Belly rules no matter what. Best song ever by Thrax. Seen System twice already, would prefer Anthrax with Megadeth after Deth releases that new album. But Anthrax anyway would rule. Wish could afford to have gone to that show. 2 of my favorite songs in one concert. Damn.

You aint crazy, that is what you heard.[/QUOTE]

Justin will be shitting his pants when he reads that. That would have been really cool to see. Of course I'd just love to see them play Intro to Reality with Belly. Those two go so perfect together (like Contact and What Doesn't Die)

If they did, that rules and I want it now! I NEED A SOUNDBOARD RECORDING!

Wow, they do type alike....;)
but seriously, no Safe Home? Man, I hope we get to hear Safe Home live again, but I dont know if Joey does backing vocals? I hope we get to hear Safe Home without Frankie, because Safe Home is SO awesome live.

They did safe home. Cant remember the exact set list, but Safe Home was played. Joeys back up vocals were awsome, on Safe Home, and every other song he did the vocals for. His bass solo in Got the Time was dead bang on, like i said in the earlier post, he is a natural fill in, and played like he was always a member.
