VH-1 CLASSIC & HOT TOPIC PRESENTS
ANTHRAX WINTER 2006 US HEADLINING TOUR
Anthrax will start off the New Year with their first reunion US headline run with support from God Forbid, Sworn Enemy, and Manntis. On the VH1 Classic-presented tour, Anthrax will hit 13 markets.

Anthrax will continue to tour with their original line up. Already selling out the pre-sale tickets for LA and NY, Anthrax will prepare once again to spread the disease. Anthrax will be visiting many markets that weren’t hit on their recent North American tour with Judas Priest. Here’s what Scott Ian has to say:

“I'm itching to get back out on tour. The Priest tour was great, but we were opening. Now we get to headline. More songs, more fun, more crushing, more beer, more insanity, more everything!!! This is the reason to get out of the house in freezing cold January. Come and get hot with us. This is the last run for a long time and you don't want to miss it.”

ANTHRAX UPDATE
What are the boys up to you ask? Well Frankie, Charlie & Scott got together in Chicago in early December to jam on new material. Charlie said it went well and the new stuff sounds like 80s KISS. Kidding. I did talk to Charlie on his birthday and he's got some really cool ideas for the 'Thrax, here's hoping they come to fruition. Joey & Danny are enjoying the time off and getting ready rip your face off on tour in 2K6!

All the fan club merch is finally done! The photos are autographed and in the warehouse. Everything will go out right after the holidays! Star Wars: Riffage of the Sith contest is over and I'll be announcing MULTIPLE WINNERS soon. The next contest is brought to us by ADULT SWIM on the Cartoon Network. We've got some awesome stuff to give away! Look for that to start next week! I've also got some Ozzfest 10th anniversary DVDs to give out. See it pays to be in the CDC! Did Spitz play/record riffs on their "classic" albums? Or just solos? They probably don't need him to write songs but I also wonder about Joey yeah...
 
They haven't even said who's going to be in the band yet have they? So why would Dan or Joey be writing anything? Until they can make up thier mind what version of Anthrax is going to record, I don't see either one helping out. Not to worry, at the pace they record it will be 3-5 years before the next album comes out!:loco:


Seriously though, it's getting rediculous how they are stringing along John, Rob, Joey and Dan. If they don't make up thier mind soon I could see them all giving the rest of the guys a big collective FUCK OFF. I still say this will end badly. I hope not, because I like Anthrax (both versions). Maybe those guys should start thier own band???:D
 
I wouldn't bash them too much about Hot Topic.

If I were in the business full time I'd take whatever sponsorship I could get really. That's all about business. I will judge them by the music, not their tour sponsors.
 
well S.O.D. was far better.just about everything Dan did with Impaled Nazarene,Nuclear Assault,Brutal Truth,..ect...was way more kick ass than Anthrax ever came up with in my humble opinion..Hell,Dan even came up with the name for Anthrax anyhow.

I wouldn't bash anyone either for taking on a sponsor. You do what ya gotta do sometimes. Hell I can't even get a Label to pitch in on stickers..let alone front some gigs..take the Hot Topic, VH1 sponsorship and go to the bank!

If Anthrax can't get backing from Sanctuary Records, which is owned by the might Sony/BMG merger, then they are seriously fucked... They are a indie label that was swallowed up by a major they should have bank, right? Or do they "NOT" endorse the reunion tour? If I'm Scott and Company I'd be seriously worried... I'm all for sponsorships, but Hot Topic?!:tickled:

Yeah, no shit. I've seen Charlie running his mouth so many damn times about the need to 'fuse hip hop and metal,' and now this? You fucked over both singers at different times, I'm still hopeful for a new album with Belladonna, but I really don't think this thing is going to work.
