True, Motorhead never was and never will be as popular as AC/DC. Opening for either act will draw an older audience, but AC/DC will draw way more people. On the flip side, Anthrax might get a slightly longer set out of playing with Motorhead.
Having seen both AC/DC and Motorhead live on multiple occasions, I say that AC/DC's live show blows Motorhead's away easily, but I'd love to see either in a double-bill with Anthrax. While AC/DC's peak may well have been prior to '81 (and yes, Justin was right BiB was 1980), they still enjoyed enourmous success with Who Made Who in '86 and The Razor's Edge in '90, and while still not matching that success in 2000 with Stiff Upper Lip, they still sold out stadiums around the world. Rumor has it they do have a new disc coming out this year, and if so, a tour will obviously happen. So it's not out of the realm of reality that Anthrax and AC/DC could tour together at some point in the near future.
