Hello,
saw Anthrax in Wacken last Weekend. They had a 75 min. slot - wich is one of the larger ones - at 5 p.m. on saturday on the largest stage and did great. Especially Joey was fantastic, he was one of the few frontmen on the bill who really owned the big stage and did great in cheering up the audience. The crowd was big and Joey made them start at least two pits.
They opened with Among the living, followed up by Caught in a mosh and NFL. Later on they did I am the law and Indians. From WM they played In the end and Fight 'em, from STD Madhouse and from FOM Deathrider and three covers: T.N.T., Got the time and Antisocial (surprise, surprise...).
The new guy on guitar fitted in well, I hope this turnes out to be permanent (whatever this means...)
I am quite sure that it was NOT Charlie on drums. The band wasn't introduced, but the guy did not look like him. Is he still not allowed to leave the U.S.?
Unfortunately I missed Scott's spoken word performance he did a few hours before the gig.
