Hello,

saw Anthrax in Wacken last Weekend. They had a 75 min. slot - wich is one of the larger ones - at 5 p.m. on saturday on the largest stage and did great. Especially Joey was fantastic, he was one of the few frontmen on the bill who really owned the big stage and did great in cheering up the audience. The crowd was big and Joey made them start at least two pits.

They opened with Among the living, followed up by Caught in a mosh and NFL. Later on they did I am the law and Indians. From WM they played In the end and Fight 'em, from STD Madhouse and from FOM Deathrider and three covers: T.N.T., Got the time and Antisocial (surprise, surprise...).

The new guy on guitar fitted in well, I hope this turnes out to be permanent (whatever this means...)

I am quite sure that it was NOT Charlie on drums. The band wasn't introduced, but the guy did not look like him. Is he still not allowed to leave the U.S.?

Unfortunately I missed Scott's spoken word performance he did a few hours before the gig.

Aah, o.k., thanks! Never seen him live before, I think. Hell of a drummer! The whole band was very tight.

Forgot to mention that I bought myself a very cool "among the living dead"-T-shirt.

Oh, and Scott promised a new album for the next year. On the other hand... he did that the last time I saw them in 2005, too...

75 minutes of the same basic setlist they have done since Joey has been in the band.

Atleast the reunion tour they did time, skeletons, in my world, keep it in the family, and some others

I honestly can say I really have no interest in seeing them anymore its way too predictable

Yeah you've told us this about six thousand fucking times.

And you think Anthrax is predictable.......??????

Well, I haven't seen them since 2005 and therefore never seen them perform the WM-tracks and T.N.T.

And I've never seen them on such a huge stage and in front of such a big crowd.

And they're one of the best live-bands I know.

So I wasn't bored at all...:)

If they'd done more "new" tracks people would miss the standards. It's always the same. I have this discussion with my friends every time Maiden promote a new album.

Even if you are the biggest Anthrax, I don't see how you can think that they aren't predictable.

You can always guess at least 90% of the set.

I don't disagree about the predictability of the setlist.

You missed my point.
