This is the first 2009 progmetal album that I've enjoyed. I'm finding lately that most new progmetal bands aren't doing it for me, and the older ones aren't as active as I'd like. But this is really good. They blend the various large-named progressive metal bands, and add a bit of melodic power. I definitely feel that they distinguish themselves.

Oh, that's out already? I absolutely loved their debut, The Ereyn Chronicles Pt. 1...nice shreddy prog metal, with a vocalist that sounds like a smoother version of Dave Mustaine. I must hear this...

OK, so I got the album this week from The End. I find the debut to be superior, but The Chain Reaction is an excellent release in its own right. The track A New Self smokes, great tune :kickass: I'd honestly be shocked if Anthropia wasn't invited to a future ProgPower...Hugo Lefebvre is extremely talented.

Great release that definitely deserves more attention than its getting. Much better than most of the stuff that's being discussed around here!

The full album is available for stream over at Lala.
