Ok, now here is something I didn't expect to listen to at the age of 2009. To make a long story short Chain Reaction rocks! What we have here is old school American thrash. Bands that come to mind are Sacred Reich, Testament of the "Low" and "Demonic" era etc, really heavy stuff that gave me a stiff neck back in the day! The southern element is really strong in this one with guitar tunes and solos that bring Darell in mind. I was actually surprised to find out that this is a polish band because their sound is 100% American. At an age where metal sound keeps evolving, the American scene sounds more and more swedish, industrial and orchestra elements are introduced, there are some relatively new bands out there that quite in fact like to explore the very origins of metal and manage to stand out! Because if you don't have something new to offer, then your music must be humongous to stand out! And I'd say "Vicious Circl"e may not be humongous but they certainly are on the right track.

But let's go into the album and talk about the songs. So the album begins with meaningless really short introduction that passes on to "Everlasting Fear". Really strong track with some vocal lines that brought to mind Phil Rind! So this song sums up the entire album, groovy riffs, mid-paced, really catchy rhythm and tons of headbanging! The vocals are great and the straight out of cowboys from hell solo just blew me away! The variation from fast to slower pace is done and then fast again is being performed magnificently and allows them to introduce some true metal melody, melody made completely by the guitar, the very legacy of Metallica. The rest of the album flows on in a similar way, with songs like "Worlds of War", "Values", "Inner Struggle", "Phantom of Life" and "Stark Reality" to stand out.

Ok, I could go on and on talking about points I really like in this one and bands it brings to my mind, but, to sum this up, I'd say this is the real deal. These guys had tough luck they are originated from Poland and not the US, because they could and should share a stage with Chimaira, Lamb of God and other grandiose bands of the genre. This is for sure one of the best albums out there and it will keep me company for a long time.
