Just curious to see if anyone else enjoys this criminally underrated band. Also, any opinions on their new album The Unknown?

I have downloaded "Battle At Helm's Deep" but it never got me enough to get into the band.

I love that album, great stuff. If you don't dig that one, you prolly won't dig the other albums tho.

I disagree that people wouldn't be likely to like at least The Second Coming if they didn't like the debut.

I can't argue with you since I don't own it yet. :p

Their other 3 albums rule mightily tho. :headbang:

Very cool band indeed! Some people are turned off because of Bob Mitchell's vocals, he has a bit of an Udo thing going on. Mitchell however is not on their second release (Second Coming). He is on the last 2 albums though.

If you like Attacker you should also give VYNDYKATOR a listen ( http://www.vyndykator.net ). It's Mitchell's other band. They only have 1 album (Heaven Sent From Hell) that was released in between the last 2 Attacker releases.

Was just looking at the Vyndykator site. It looks like Bob left the band last year, I didn't know about that. Sux. They were a cool band.

ME, ME, ME, ME!

But then I should check "Second Coming", since the samples I heard from "Soul Taker" also drove me off.

I like the latest Attacker; a lot! Excellent US metal and yea, his voice reminds me of Udo Dierksneider now and them. But thats not a problem. I have been an Accept fan since the the release of the 1981 Breaker album. Although I like their early albums more than their later releases.

I really dig Bob's vocals. To me, its kinda mixing Udo and Halford which both are metal gods, IMO.

And yes, that Vyndykator disc is very good as well. :headbang:

And if you are looking for more of Bob's work, check out Sleepy Hollow. I have the best of compilation Rest in Pieces and it also kicks a alot of ass as well.

I've only hear their 80's stuff and only can judge them by that 2 albums and like Iced Ray said they are criminally underrated!
I don't see what's the problem with Bob's vocals??? Comparing with Udo is a good thing:lol: :headbang: .
So is anyone who has listened all their album can compare their new stuff with 80's albums?
