What terrible news. Anyone who ever heard a Decapitated song knows that Vitek could smoke nearly anyone on the drums (even back when he was as young as 18). Such a talented guy. Sad stuff.

yeah I heard about this earlier today. sad, sad news... the dude was only 23 years old. I saw Decapitated live this past July and they all ripped it up. I also met Covan, who is also in the hospital (coma or something). I guess they wont be on the Amon Amarth tour anymore.

I was really sad to hear this news. When I heard it I was pretty stunned. Sad day for death metal.

Yeah, Grutle announced this death at last night's Enslaved show in Atlanta-- he, the band, and the crowd toasted Vitek and then Enslaved dedicated a smoking version of "Bounded By Allegiance" to him-- it was insane.
