So the boys have been out of the studio for awhile. Anything new from the front?

Is anyone alive on this Earache forum????

"Decapitated complete the recording of new album!
Tech-death masters Decapitated have completed the recording of their new album, tentatively titled 'The Negation', at Hertz Studio in Poland, with engineers Slawek and Wojtek Wieslawski. Although all of the recording is completed, the band will not mix the album until they have completed a mammoth September tour of their homeland as part of a double-header with Vader.

Bassist Martin reports that the new material is 'very very strong', with a thick guitar sound. Among the titles set for inclusion are 'The Negation', 'Long Desired Dementia', 'Three-dimensional Defect', 'The Fury' and 'Sensual Sickness.'

A release is pencilled in for February 2004."

Are you alive?

Well, according to your first post they only had been in a studio for a while. According to my post they've done it already. So why did you ask for old news in the first place?

from Cumbubblemouth.com

Polish tech-death masters DECAPITATED have finalized the track listing for their third full-length album, "The Negatron", due in February 2004 through Wicked World/Earache Records.

The follow-up to 2002's "Nihility" was recorded at Hertz Studio in Poland with engineers Slawek and Wojtek Wieslawski and is being described by bassist Martin as "very very strong," with a thick guitar sound.

The complete track listing for the album is as follows:

01. The Fury
02. Three-Dimensional Defect
03. Sensual Sickness
04. Calling
05. The Negation
06. Long-Desired Dementia
07. The Empty Throne
08. Lying And Weak
09. Lunatic Of Gods Creation (DEICIDE cover, bonus track)

DECAPITATED will play a one-off show in London in December and will follow it up with a proper U.K. tour in February. An American tour with CANNIBAL CORPSE will take place in February/March and will be followed by a European trek with MORBID ANGEL in the spring.

The album is great as you would expect, perhaps a touch more progressive in terms of ideas and new touches. The title track is awesome, there's a track called 'Lying and Weak' which is a 'Suffer the Children'-esque romp, might be the video and its certainly instantly memorable. Its quality all the way through basically, only half an hour long but a great 1/2 hour at that.
They recorded a bonus of 'Lunatic of God's Creation' which rocks too!

I forgot to mention

December 7, Decapitated will play in the mid-afternoon an exclusive all ages set at Subverse, more details soon, but no advance tickets, just pay on the door.
The first time they'll play the new material.

Its the same day as Deicide in London, so two quality gigs in a matter of hours.
