Any one else interested in seeing the classic '84
era Saxon? That would be the greatest!

I've seen them live for the first time on the Power And The Glory Tour more than 20 years ago and they ROCKED

I've seen them time and time again during the last couple of years and they ROCKED everytime

And I've seen them live a few weeks ago here in my hometown and they still ROCKED!

Nibbs, Doug and Fritz are great and they deliver, don't know about Oliver/Dawson.

No need for a change IMHO.

I saw them for the first time, open for Maiden in 83 (piece of
mind). Saw them a year later, the were playing with ACCEPT
for the Crusader tour. I lost track of them after that, but
after watching the new DVD from 1990, it brought back
memories of a great band.

I'd like to see a reunion of the '84 lineup, for sure ! If Maiden can do it, and Priest can do it, even Sabbath did it..... - a classic lineup reunion would rock !

Nah.Fuck leave the old Saxon in the past.I saw them for the first time in 1983.I have seen them a few times over the years 89-03 I had lost track of metal and Saxon. Then in 2003 I saw them at the Astoria and it was the best Saxon gig I have ever seen.I then went and caught up on albums like Metalhead,Unleash and Killing ground and they still Rock like fuck plus the current line up is just as good as the old ones in some ways better.

Nope I definitely wouldn't like to see a reunion. Why go back to something that isn't as good? Nibbs is a better bass player than Dobby, and Doug is at least as good as Graham Oliver. But more importantly, Olly can't come up with any good new riffs anymore, while Doug can.

Upon till the Astoria gig a reuion I would have backed, but now I have seen this line up they are a far better band.Well maybe not better but differrent in a rocking kinda way .Did understand that ?

Being a younger Saxon fan (a mere 29), I've never seen the '84 line up as at the time I was probably more interested in Star Wars. However, I agree with Mr Wilks & Mr Paxoman here. A reunion would be a step backwards. From what I've seen (and if Oliver-Dawson's performance supporting Dio was anything to go by) Saxon are better now than 'back in the day'. Give it up for Nibbs & Doug! :worship:

I have not seen the -84 lineup, only heard them, and the current lineup is better I believe. And, as said, I don't think they would even think of playing together again!
